Hi! I'm Gemma of Gemma Keith Designs, I'm the designer, maker and face of my business. I started my business in 2017, drawing and painting prints to sell. Since then my range of products have fantastically expanded and I now sell a range of textiles and gifts to shops all around the world.

I am a trained artist from Kent, where I started my creative journey at UCA in Maidstone where I specialised in Fashion and Textiles. There I found my love for the movement of print and how fabric can be a home for art. I started to transfer my illustrations onto energetic items like scarves and wallpaper and loved the ability to create functional items including bright designs. 

I pushed my love of fabric to studying BA Textile Design at The University of Arts London, where I studied at their Chelsea campus. There I learnt how to really develop an illustration or print mark into something more than just a 2D piece. 

My love for fabrics and design grew after graduating from London and I decided to start my own business. This is where Gemma Keith Designs all started, from a room in my parents house.

I developed my style and started selling cotton tote bags and cards. From there my designs and products grew and I started selling at local markets to online platforms and finally to wholesale shops all around the world. 

The growth and success of my business meant I could follow my dream of moving to my favourite place - The Lake District! In 2022 I made the best decision of my life and moved up to the West Coast of Cumbria. I have never felt more at home and in love with an area than I do here. There is a true creative hub on the West side of Cumbria and I'm thrilled to be a part of it!
